My Impact
Field research User Interview Service Branding Wire Frame UI Design
This project begins by identifying the issues with payment services that prioritize a simple checkout process. While these convenient checkout methods enhance the purchasing experience, they can also contribute to overspending. To address this challenge, we need services that encourage users to cultivate a sense of responsibility for their overconsumption habits.
What I've Learned
The Essence of Design: An Ethical Approach that Reflects the User's Voice
I explored what true user-centered design means. By focusing on ways to reduce overspending and avoid excessive unethical marketing, I gained a deeper understanding of my responsibilities as a designer. This project was recognized at the K Design Award and helped me establish a strong user-centered design philosophy.
Next Step
Considering long-term user experience
I have a task to clearly determine whether payment friction consistently reduces consumer desire over time. As users become more familiar with the payment process, the impact of friction may decrease. For this reason, I believe it's crucial to plan with a long-term user experience in mind and adopt strategic approaches to ensure the service remains effective and sustainable.
